Students should work to master addition and subtraction facts through 20 and then multiplication and division facts through 100. You can help your child at home by quizzing him or her with flashcards or homemade practice sheets. You can even call out math facts to your child while you are traveling in the car or preparing supper. Please visit the "Websites" page for some fun, online math practice.
You and your child have access to our math series online. This site allows you to access the book we use in class (eText), worksheets, the game center, and much more. Go to the website Clever. Then, click on "Log in through Active Directory." Enter the username and password (see below) on the "Francis Howell School District Portal" page. You will then be able to access Savvas EasyBridge (our math series), Study Island, Learning.com, and more.
username: first initial+last name+last three digits of lunch number/ID (no spaces, no capitalization)
example: acox456
password: Fh+lunch number/ID (no spaces, "F" is capitalized)
example: Fh123456
On the Savvas EasyBridge site, the eText, game center, and assignments are located on the "Classes" page. On the "Program" page, you will find worksheets and other information that go with each topic we study.
I will send you a Home-School Connection letter at the beginning of each new topic, so you will know what we are currently studying at school. Also, the math lessons that I will be teaching each week will be posted on my website on the “Homework” tab, so that you may review them with your child at home.
