I attended Northeast Missouri State University (now called Truman University) and University of Missouri-St. Louis for my undergraduate work and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 1990. I received my Master of Science in Education degree with a Specialization in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University in 2005. I am certified to teach Grades 1-8 and Grades 4-8 Departmentalized Social Studies and English.
This is my 34th year of teaching. Over the years, I have taught first grade through sixth grade. I have taught third grade since Independence Elementary opened in 1999.
I live in Weldon Spring, not far from school. I am fortunate to have a wonderful husband, two beautiful daughters, and a spirited cat. Reading, hiking, and traveling are a few of my favorite pastimes.
